Call for Board Nominations

At UHIMA, we feel that volunteering is like a garden – sweet and appreciated! Especially when you serve as a board member. Which flower appeals to you?

UHIMA 2021 Board Member ‘Garden’

Board Position: President-Elect

Description: Administers and conducts the affairs of the Association in the event of the absence of the President.  Acts as a delegate on the AHIMA House of Delegates.

Cost: 2 to 4 days per month for 3 years

Board Position: Treasurer-Elect

Description: Serves as an assistant (first year) to the financial steward (Treasurer), maintaining adequate and correct accounting of all the properties and financial transactions of UHIMA.

Cost: 2 days per month for 2 years

Board Position: Administrative Assistant (Secretary)

Description: Records the official discussions, decisions, and plans made by the UHIMA Board at all board meetings, committee meetings and the annual business meeting. 

Cost: 4-6 hours per month for 1 year

Board Position: Acute Care Director

Description: Provides advice as needed to members related to health information roles, education, and leadership, and serves as a delegate to the AHIMA House of Delegates.

Cost: 4-6 hours per month for 1 year

Board Position: Alternate Care Setting Director

Description: Provides advice as needed to members related to health information roles, education, and leadership, and serves as a delegate to the AHIMA House of Delegates.

Cost: 4-6 hours per month for 1 year
