As the Utah membership organization of health information management professionals,
the UHIMA fosters the professional development of its members through education,
certification, and life long learning to promote quality health information for the
benefit of the public, health care consumers, providers and other users of healthcare data.
To be the State's authoritative body on health records and health information systems
and to be an advocate for the profession on government, academic, social or business
issues that affect the management of health records or health information systems.
