Mission Executive Board Committees Membership Bylaws
The Utah Health Information Management Association (UHIMA) was established in the 1950's as a non-profit association and is afiliated with American Health Information Management Association(AHIMA). UHIMA serves as a forum to share and obtain knowledge to our members and to other health care professionals for communicating state and national issues.
The UHIMA governing documents include the Mission Statement, Bylaws and a comprehensive set of policies and procedures. It serves to promote the art and science of health information management and to improve the quality of the comprehensive health services for the welfare of the public.
Our Membership
Members of the Utah Health Information Management Association are committed to excellence in the management of health information. The HIM professional collects, analyzes and manages information that drives the health care industry. We advocate the patient's right to privacy, confidentiality, and security of their health information. UHIMA strives to keep the HIM professional and other health care professionals abreast of the latest developments in health information systems, regulatory updates and practice issues.
